ABOUT AMNI-SCIENT

INDEPENDENT SOFTWARE STUDIO

One developer. Seven products. Zero compromises on privacy.

THE STORY

Amni-Scient started in 2025 as a solo engineering project with a simple premise: build the tools you wish existed, and be honest about what they do with your data.

The name comes from the Latin roots amnis (river, flow) and scientia (knowledge) — the idea of knowledge flowing freely, without gatekeepers harvesting your information along the way.

Every product in the Amni-Scient portfolio was built because the developer needed it personally — a file encryption tool that actually explains its cipher instead of hiding behind marketing buzzwords, a galaxy explorer that puts real NASA data at your fingertips, and educational games safe enough to hand to a child without worrying about trackers.

There is no venture capital funding. No board of directors. No pressure to monetize user data. Revenue comes from modest advertisements on content-rich pages and optional premium tiers that remove those ads. That’s it.

THE DEVELOPER

Amni-Scient is built and maintained by Anthony Reffelt, a mechanical engineer and software developer based in the United States. His background spans:

MECHANICAL ENGINEERING

Professional experience in structural analysis, seal design, fastener engineering, and thermal systems.

💻

SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT

Full-stack work across Rust, Kotlin, Python, and web technologies. WebAssembly compilation, GPU compute pipelines, and cryptographic implementations.

🔬

APPLIED CRYPTOGRAPHY

Designer of the Amni-Crypt 1024-bit block cipher and Shadow Texture Protocol. PBKDF2-HMAC-SHA512 key derivation, SHAKE-256 shadow generation, HMAC-SHA512 integrity verification.

🚀

SYSTEMS ARCHITECTURE

From WebGL renderers and WASM engines to Android app architectures and self-hosted chat platforms — designing systems that work reliably at every layer.

DESIGN PHILOSOPHY

PRIVACY BY ARCHITECTURE

Privacy isn’t a feature toggle — it’s a design constraint. Products that can run offline do run offline. Products that need network access disclose precisely what data moves and where it goes. Every product gets its own privacy policy because different tools handle different data.

PERFORMANCE THROUGH COMPILATION

Where others ship interpreted JavaScript, Amni-Scient ships compiled WebAssembly. The galaxy explorer runs Rust compiled to WASM — delivering near-native speeds in the browser while keeping source code protected as compiled binary.

HONEST DOCUMENTATION

Product pages explain how things actually work, not how marketing wants you to think they work. Amni-Crypt publishes its full cipher specification. Amni-Explore documents its WASM API. If a product has limitations, they’re stated openly.

SUSTAINABLE MONETIZATION

Free tiers are ad-supported through Google AdSense (web) or AdMob (mobile). Premium tiers remove ads. No hidden data sales. No affiliate schemes. No dark patterns pushing upgrades. The goal is sustainability, not extraction.

Amni-Scient products span multiple platforms and technologies, chosen for each product’s specific requirements:
